Trial Lesson (There is a $60 fee for a 45-60 min session for the trial lesson)
At the trial lesson, we will mutually assess whether we are a good match for a productive and enjoyable teaching and learning experience. We will also confirm that the student and family are ready to commit to daily practice. (Once the student is ready for home practice, I first make sure they have developed a relaxed hand shape and a proper touch on the keys before asking them to begin practicing regularly at home.) If, after the trial lesson, I am unable to accommodate your child in my weekly schedule for the upcoming six-month season, I will refund the trial lesson fee.
Important:
Piano study is a discipline in which I find deep purpose—sharing the joy of music with kindred spirits of the next generation: your musical children.
For this reason, I work only with students and families who can commit to establishing a daily practice routine during the first year (and during the first two years for beginners aged four and younger). Consistent home practice is essential for steady progress, and without continued improvement, the joy of learning naturally fades. Each week, I look forward to seeing young musical souls filled with the excitement of discovery and growth.
My studio is a place where we all strive to find and nurture the joy of learning and to unlock our unique gifts. Please join us with a willingness to embrace your part in this shared journey.
Lastly—but certainly not least—my studio is like a second family to me, and I’m profoundly proud of the caring, joyful culture we’ve built together with our wonderful studio families.
